The STRUGGLE is REAL! Let’s talk #progression and #motivation. A lot of people ask me how I stay motivated, if my abs are real, are they fake and so on.. And this photos like this are exactly how (NO FILTER/ NO PHOTOSHOP).
My motivation comes from my #goal to beat who I see in the mirror everyday (both physically and mentally). I don’t compete with others, I only compete with myself. Comparing my pictures like these from 2013 to now, reminds me why I find it easy to be motivated and to have an active lifestyle.
2014-2015 I suffered from severe depression and anxiety, it was the hardest and the toughest thing I’d ever encountered in my life. I wasn’t afraid to do anything- something stupid. I was a party animal, I was an alcoholic, I smoke weed and I do drugs like overdosing myself with xanax, oxycontin & sleeping pills so I won’t feel the pain. I didn’t care about anyone. I didn’t care about life. To the point I ended up hurting myself.
Comparing myself from the past helps me to improve myself to be the better version of who I am. It takes a lot of work to get what you want. It takes a lot of understanding, acceptance and embracing the sacrifices to be a strong individual. Of course, I am lucky enough to have a beautiful family and amazing friends that help me get through this. It’s always good to have someone that inspires you💖It’s easy to forget that progress takes time.
Every time I look in the mirror, I always tell myself: April, you are worth it! I encourage everyone to take pictures so you can look back and compare yourself physical and mental states at certain points in your journey to help you keep motivated. Remember, it takes a lot of #dedication and #hardwork to be able to see the results. If you want to have a nice body, have a good grades and getting a degree? Putting into #action is the key to get what you want😘🙏🏼
We all have different purpose but believe me when I say, once you find your reason for your goals. It becomes so much easier and more enjoyable. We all start somewhere, set goals, track your progress and get to it! If I can do it, so can you!❤️
Always stay Humble☺️🙏🏼
“Life is like a gym. It is a journey. Every single steps of a new challenge, we must face it and learn how to deal with the new situations.
Life is full of disappointments and surprises. We must learn how to be mental and physically prepared. We must learn to embrace the obstacle to be wiser and strong enough to face all the challenges. Every day is a new learning process. We must learn to accept from our own mistakes and fully understand our own being.
Life is about keep moving forward to be the better version of yourself.
Life is like a gym. The more the pain, the more glory to it!”
